Child Protection Training Kingdom Vision Bible School
From the 21st of November to the 23rd of November 2016, the students of Kingdom Vision Bible School concluded their year with some reflection on the year and by receiving training on child protection in preparation for next year. This ministry team works tirelessly in Namakwaland schools to reach out to children in need, while simultaneously growing in Christ. Their programme consists of working through discipleship curricula provided by Ezrah, having outreaches to local schools and participating in a sports training programme to keep them physically fit.
As child protection is a core function of this team, Ezrah was grateful to be part of training this fantastic group of students on themes such as the new Children’s Act, identifying and reporting abuse and neglect, working together as a community to keep children safe, making the organisation child-safe through the screening of workers and planning events with child protection in mind. The three days together proved a lot of fun with hard work, playing touchies at the beach, enjoying board games and just soaking in the beautiful surroundings of the Helderberg area. Well done to Kingdom Vision Bible School for holding the flag high for child protection!
