On the 4th of April 2019, Ezrah was privileged to empower 35 community leaders from 20 organisations in Drakenstein and surrounding areas in partnership with Valcare with our LEAD child participation model.
LEAD (L= Looking out for others, E= Ending well, A= Attitude and D= Discipline) is our leadership model that we use throughout our training. It is also the core model for our child participation training focussed on empowering leaders to create platforms for children to participate in matters that affect them in line with the children’s right to participate in line with Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child as well as the Children’s Act. Through these workshops we empower community leaders to collaborate with children to implement LEAD to Safety Projects – projects where children are active participants to create environments where children can feel safe.
