LEAD Training

What is this Project about?

  • The LEAD training supports social service professionals, educators and community-based facilitators to care for their own well-being while creating safe, supportive spaces for children, young people, and colleagues. It provides practical tools and guidance to strengthen mental health, build resilience, and encourage healthy leadership in everyday work.

  • Using the LEAD principles — Look Out for Others, End Well, Attitude, and Discipline — the training focuses on self-care, clear boundaries, positive attitudes, and ethical mentoring. LEAD helps practitioners build strong relationships, listen to children’s voices, and support children’s participation in ways that are safe, respectful, and age-appropriate. By strengthening self-leadership and emotional wellbeing, the LEAD project helps build healthier communities where children and those who support them can grow and thrive together.

  • Target audience: Social service professionals, educators, ECD practitioners and community-based facilitator

“Children are the future and if we want to see change, we need to start to listen to children.
Self-care is always intentional – you can’t pour from an empty cup. We have now more tools
to use in our space and also assist colleagues by using the positive message cards. Thank
you, enjoyed it a lot!”
